Will your Billionair Governor be the new posterboy for seatbelt use?

  2. Looks like he already is.

Also, I have not heard anything about airbag deployment. None of the images I've seen so far, have airbags in them.

So...no seatbelt, no airbag?= squashed like a bug, only on the inside of the windshield...

He's an arrogant SOB, seatbelts are for the little people.

I'm not sure about the air-bag, but I can tell you he always has the wind-bag deployed.
He's definitely the poster boy for rich, know-it-all, arrogant Liberals.......

As a boy raised in the Garden State and now looking in from a distance, I'd have to say that "normal people in New Jersey" is an oxymoron.

And what does this have to do with traditional hot rods? Not to mention I didn't realize this was the place to blow your own windbag political opinions.

Years ago I helped the EMT's pull a guy I knew out of a wreck that he would have lived through had he clicked his seat belt onto place. Whenever I read about a wreck that envolves failure to wear a belt I think about him. :(

I wear a seatbelt. Not because I'm normal, but because if I'm pulled over for any reason and I'm not wearing it, I get a HELLACIOUS TICKET from Officer Friendly in addition to whatever the original citation will be.
I'd like to say that Corzine is a big improvement over his predecessor, but our luck doesn't run that way in this state.

I'm not a fan of our govornor...

Anyway, I don't where my seatbelt when I'm going to work. It's 4 miles on rural roads. If I'm getting on a main road or the parkway I always wear them. Always wear them in the hotrods too, because I like lap belts better.

Usually, I feel that my insurance bill is subsidizing the hospital bills of those who don't wear their belts, but this case is entirely different...
I feel that my tax dollars are now subsidizing hospital bills for somone who could afford his own damn hospital.
Let's us New Joisey rodders all chip in and buy our dear governor one of those T-shirts with a seatbelt printed on it so he'll be safe in the future...

Not from New Jersey but... I don't ever go anywhere without my seatbelt on. Just feels like something is wrong when I don't have it on, kinda like sittingdown and not having my wallet in my back pocket. Almost like being naked.

    Being naked doesn't feel right?

I love to be naked, in my car, w/ or w/o my seatbelt.

Naked in a 5 point harness... ballsey.

Somewhere else on this board tonight is a pic of a kid's '64-'66 Chevy truck he rammed into a phone pole. On a rural road. No other cars were involved.
If ramming your car into something, going off the road, sliding on wet pavement or having a deer run out in front of you was intentional, they'd be called "Plans." Instead, they're called "accidents"...because nobody plans for them to happen. And accidents without a seat belt are never good. Ever heard that goofy statistic about how most car accidents occur within a couple miles from home?
