Congrats, I know how excited you are. Did you sleep with that smile on your face? Or the better question, do you have any friends left after talking about it all weekend? : )

hears the deal, and I am in a pickle. My best friend Mikey showed me the car,I acted on impulse and wham bam closed the deal never realizing he wanted it badly too. So as a true friend I am offering him the car for what I have in it with the stipulation if he sells it for profit I get a piece of the action...after all he saw it first and probably only called me out to see it to verify if it truly was a good deal as he knows little about early iron,he has a 57 chevy,

Unbelievable buy! Congratulations. Is that thing as clean as it looks in pictures? I'd drive the wheels off it just as she sets.

Why can't them deals happen around SoCal anymore like they use to? Oh ya, everyones rust bucket-project are like Barrett-Jackson prices here now. Way to jump on that deal. Nothing like bone stock and non-tampered. KNUX!

A couple of months ago I saw a car advertised I wanted, tried for a few days to call the guy but no answer or answering machine.I asked a friend of mine if he saw the ad,he said no,I told him I'd been trying to get ahold of the guy.1 day later my friend owns the car.Moral of story-don't tell anyone till the deal is done, and all's fair in love and old cars.No I'm not mad.

I'm torn on the freind wanting it...

You took a chance buying it the minute you saw it, now that you've had it and know it's a good buy, he's letting you know he wanted it? If he said all that while you were doing the deal, then yeah, maybe give it up, but if he couldn't pull the trigger, then that's not your fault...

But then again, life ain't much if it isn't for your true buddies, so do whatever makes it right to both of you...

Cool deal. Looks like a shortened 4-door with a later bed. Neat truck none the less.

yeah you couldnt buy a raffle ticket without hearing about "baby Jesus" in the parking lot:D :D People were sneakin through the goal to hit the bathroom before he cornered them and told them the story....again..ok it wasnt that bad....But he was as giddy as a little school girl sellin the tickets.....

If the buddy wanted to resale then hell no i wouldnt give it to him..chalk it up as a misunderstanding and buy him some beers....If he was looking for a second opinion and wanted to keep it and drive it and what-not...then i would let him have take it for that price with the stipulation that he cant turn around and sell it for profit...AND that if he does look to sell ....you get first crack for the price you let him have it at..

    But what do i know...i drive a corvair:eek:
