<TABLE id=betterb><TBODY><TR><TD cl***=blacktextnb10 style="WORD-WRAP: break-word">Well luckily the cops said the damage to my DADS truck was punishment enough, and the insurence wont change, but my knee is swollen and the truck is totaled. And my dad wasnt mad at all. I feel bad becuase it was his favorite truck but we are rebuilding it soon. Im lucky i was in an old car or i would be alot more hurt. The frame is bent to all hell. There is no steering, My knee bent the steering column. The reson for the crash, i hugged the corner to much and over corrected and hit the telephone pole. Not a good day nosiree.

Well the good thing, if anything is good in a crash, is that you both are still above ground. Also the truck can be a good source of parts for the replacement project!!

Best of luck to both of you.

Ditto on the glad that you're ok. Vehicles, even old, cool, historic ones, are just material possessions, not humans. The fact that you're alright is good news to hear.

Just a mere scratch for people like us! Good luck in the rebuild, and glad you're ok. Scary stuff in the middle of all that.

Glad to hear you're OK. And that's NOT totalled, it can be fixed! If it were a late model truck (or any late model car for that matter) then yes, it would be a total loss. But that one can be fixed.

Yeah if we werent buying another truck, it would be totalled, the frame is bent almost a foot over and up, and the whole framerails are tweaked, steering is broke, the front suspention is garbage from hitting the curb. But we will still only use the cab and bed

Oh, it didn't look that bad in the pix. I hope you guys come out OK on finding another truck, even if you have to build it yourself.

bummer dude! glad to see your ok. why not do a upgrade with late model 73-87 crossmember and rear. gives you ps.,pdb. and 5-lug bolt pattern. those trucks are laying around everywhere and can be bought at s**** prices. simple and killer upgrade. check it out.

Now there are two reasons to call '60-63s "Knee Busters".

Glad to hear you're okay. I'm real surprised you didn't hit the windshield, though.

Check your PMs, I'd like to talk to you about the rebuild.

Whoaaaa dude, you really did a number on that one.

Glad to hear you're alright, and that Dad wasn't too sore ... I think it's always considerably easier to forgive the damage to your ride when it's caused by someone you hold dear. Good luck fixin' it back up.

I'm glad you're ok,but...you don't think it might be your Freudian Slip Showing do you? ;)
Isn't this the truck you made a post on about being your daily till your project was done?
That's a pretty fair lick to wound that ol truck that much.

So you were speeding -- in the rain? ;)

Truth is, if you were in a new car, you wouldn't have been hurt at all.
    Airbags. Anti-lock brakes. Traction control...

    Huh?
