My brother had the generator go out on his old Volvo in Kingman and the local auto parts and breakfast cafe had just what he needed and installed it for him too. Don''t know if that'd be tha case now, bcause I just remembered it was 20 years ago... Damn, time is rushing by and I gotta go get some A-arm bushings....

    Kingman hasn't changed a bit...
Hellfish, did you stay in the Wigwam? The owner is pretty cool and all those cares belong to his family and they all run! It's a cheap place to stay.

HankCash, I DID break down on one of those roads! The real desolate one was the road that wound through the Joshua Tree Natl Forest. I locked my keys in the car. After a brief panic I remembered I had spares in my pocket! Then the brakes seized up in Phoenix... but I knew someone in town. It took them 2 days to find and install the new MC. Then the battery died in Albuquerque... where I knew someone. [IMG] I think I used up all my good luck when I was younger!
and Yes, I did stay in the Wigwam Motel. That place was awesome! I called ahaed and told them when I would get there. They said "oh, we'll be gone by then, but we'll leave a key for you under the mat"! Great people!

Hellfish, I've stayed at the motel that's just out of the last pic. The cafe next to where you parked has a killer green chile breakfast burrito.

  18. Let's see if I can post this pic for Nailhead60. It's a tank for a mini chopper, I believe. Some mighty fine One-Shot action!

    Now THAT is spectacular.

  20. Unkl...Ron is the only DEADBEAT artist-type that wasn't in Detroit for the AutoRama...he had previous commitments with his daughter for that weekend. He needs to post his work here more often!

If he's not going to MCPhail's gig in June, with the rest of the Deadbeats, send him to Billetproof.

  22. He's lives in Kansas...he'll be at McPhails! Not all of the Detroit DEADBEATS will be leaving the state...but probably all of the One-Shot guys. [IMG] I wish it wasn't on the same weekend, but I told Dennis, months ago, that I would go to Kansas this year. Too much to do, too little time! Ron will be up there for the Broken Dream Kruise, though!

  23. OOp's, forgot this one.....Pontiac at Bakersfield last year...

I'm not to good on drawing so I'm posting a pic my 5 year old drew at the Roundup after meeting Von Franco.

I did'nt even see him draw it. Its got all the elements. Crazy hair, tounge out,big shifter, wheels off the ground.
