Just wanted to officially introduce myself, I've been quietly checking things out on the HAMB for some time. I have to say that I am overly impressed by the amount of information that is available on the HAMB as well as the everyones eagerness to share knowledge. Great job everyone, I look forward to sharing my projects with you all as I press to get my 31' pick up done in time for Larry's Jalopy Showdown Drags at Beaver Springs.
Hey I'm just north of Honesdale, Pa, About 1 hr north of Scranton. Check out my website for cruises and shows in the Honesdale area. http://cruisin.jandcawards.com/index_Page282.htm I have more to put on the site as I get them Jim
Thanks for the welcome guys. SUHRsc, It's a 31' A that I have been buggin' a friend for since the first time I saw it at his house about 6yrs ago, last year he finally gave in. I'm putting it together the best I can with cost in mind so I am using what I can find for cheap. I have to download some more updated pics but the ones attached show most of what I have done so far with exception of the front end coming together, the finished chop and the 4" cab strech that Clark and I did on Sunday. I gotta thank Clark for all of his help on this thing, we put the frame together in 2 days, he's my hero. Anyhow I hope you like it, I'll try to get some more pics up soon.
Welcome. As a Hanover, PA gal myself I noticed your posting. Even though I have not lived in Hanover for a long time I am currently sitting in the Hanover Public Library, which is now wireless. I am in town for my mother is in the hospital. My husband Ken, Slick50, (from Gettysburg) and I currently live in Greenville, SC and he has been a HAMBer for some time, me just recently making the move from lurker to actual poster. The people which make up the HAMB are wonderful we have been so inspired with their generosity, talent, humor and friendship I can't begin to tell you online. We may or may not make it to the Jalopy Showdown this year since I have had to make this unexpected trip home now but if we do we will try to look you up. Once again welcome and good luck on your project.
I used to do a lot of work for a warehouse company in Hanover. I'm about 2.5 hours closer to Philly from you. Your truck is looking sweet. I'm jealous. I've been dreaming about a little hotrod pickup for years now. I just haven't had the cash or luck to find one yet.
Vicki, I look forward to hearing from you about the showdown I hope that you and your husband can make it and I hope that everything is ok with your mother. I have a baby that is due a little bit before the showdown so as long as everything is ok with my fiance' and the baby I will try to make it out for a few hours. Zach, Astromonkey and anyone else that may interested here are some pictures I took of the truck this morning.
