Never been to either and I know they're both happening this Saturday.....I was leaning towards the Back to the Beach show in Ventura and the wife heard about the Nostalgia drags in Fontana and thought it would be fun.....Anyone have any opinions?

Talked to Darr Hawthorn over the weekend regarding the nostalgia drags. He said most (if not all) of the top fuel dragsters will be racing elsewhere. The drags in Fontana will mostly be funny cars. That may sway your decision one way or the other.

Way smaller. Its at Seaside park in Ventura (same place they have the Ventura County Fair) right next to the beach. One of the nicest places to have a car show. This is the second year that this show is on. If I remember correctly the actual show was gone for a while and held in a different location. So its catching a little steam. Last year was somewhat small, but still fun. I would go. If you take your gal and she gets bored there is tons of **** to do around the area.

The original Back to the Beach show was held by West Coast Kustoms in Huntington Beach, it was originally called Routes of Kustoms and they took a little road trip from Harveys Broiler to HB, checking out some the historic places in So. Cal kustom car history. Now the show is put on by the same people who do the Primer Nats, last years show was small but if everyone goes it'll get big. Its probably one of the best locations to have a show, except for when you leave! Traffic is a ***** getting back to the freeway. We'll be there, what the hell, its a great drive, a good location!

Should be a good show with only the Fuel Cars, Nostalgia Eliminator, and AA/Gas competing as I understand it. Also check out www.nostalgianitroshootout.com.
