Well, here. He just e-mailed em to me...

Workin with a stick welder about half the time so sorta knarly lookin'. It's all burnt in hard though.

You can pretty much see what we did for the top bag mount and shock tower. The lower bag mount just has a 3/16" plate that goes over the top of the arm. There is a plate for the original spring pocket riveted to the lower arm. We drilled out the rivets and made the plate so that it bolts into the rivet holes. The shocks are off of a 70 Nova. About anything would work if you mount them vertical like that. They do not interfere with inner fender well at all so it worked out good. The shocks are set so they are about 2" from bottoming out when it's aired out. They act as a limiting stop if you pump to much air into the bag.

I don't think I'd change much as far as install really. This works out really well. If a guy wanted it beautiful, removing the body would help alot. That wasn't a viable option for this car. Time has been a bit of a factor. The pipe for the shock towers is a bit to heavy but it's what we had. I'd probably use like 3/16 or even 1/8 if you threw down a gusset. The stock spring pockets out back will work fine but if I had the body off, I'd build a new bridge just for the clean factor. That's personal preference though.. That's about it...:D

Oh yeah... there's about 8" of ground clearance at ride height and the front arms run dead level. 2-3" of clearance aired out and the wheels turn lock to lock with no air in the bags. In other words, you could roll slow with the bags aired out.... as long as it's a nice smooooth flat place... hehe

    psssssssssssss

i have a 50 buick and want to put bags on it. took out the spring helper and the old tired springs sat her down pretty low but not enough. how much did the bags run and is it a self leveler?

well...i ended up with 7 or 8 bags and 2 compressors for next to nothing a couple years ago when a friend was cleaning out his ba*****t. they have changed hands a few times without being installed, i think Ed traded a roached 79 ford and a lift kit for them. they are (glesser correct me here) firestone #2500s up front (could probably use #2600s) and con***ech #2600 out back.

as far as leveling goes it just has 2 valves per end, up and down. 2 switches and a single guage that shows both ends pressure. i have a feeling that it will get at least another pair of valves to stop side to side lean. the stock sway bar is still in place and it seems to do ok, but another pair of valves on the front would be better.

its back in one piece for the most part too, maybe gleeser will get some pics up.....
