That thing looks great. I love those old trucks. Sometimes I think they look funny chopped but you nail the proportions. Hope to see it around here soon. Keep us posted.

it lost its patina when it went back in the garage. it is black now. proportions were what i was worried about when i shorten the bed. it looked funny in the garage but, i was happy seeing it outside. ya kinda get to stand back further.

it now has a windsheild. i installed a wood floor. took air-ride off the front, just gonna run it on the back for the 2008 summer. brand new fuel tank from lmc , new fuel pump and fuel lines. having some troubles with the carb. but, its plated and legal now.

the front bed panel unbolts. it took it out , then i cut the welds holding the front stake pockets out without destroying them. i shortened the bed to the desired length, welded the stake pockets back to the bed and drilled new holes for the front bed panel and bolted it back in. it was rather simple. these are simple trucks.

take your carb to 3-D carbs in Indy, ask for Fred, does quality work, no wait, no hassles

  18. Three windows are the ones that look good with a chop! I really like the stance and proportions. Perhaps you could answer a couple questions for me, like: Which S10 frame did you use, and how much is the floorboard spaced above the rails?

i ended up using different fenders front and back. the front ones were white, the rears were green and i am gonna find a deifferent hood. i didn`t want it 3 or 4 different colors.

it is jusy an edelbrock 600. jim linder talked me through one carb rebuild already. maybe i`ll tackle this one on my own.:)

i used the shortbed which isn`t normally what people use. its what i had and i had it in my head to use it as is. my cab sits about 4.5 inches above the framerails. i set it up to when it is aired out, the running boards are sharing the pavement with the frame. --keith
