No shit. This whole thread and his myspace site is making my re-think most of my work!

I know I'm going to take a second and third look at everything I weld now. Cole had the same effect on me too. It's no wonder it's taking me so damn long to build this damn car. Now I have another person to blame it on. Thanks Steve!

THAT is the funniest thing I think I've ever seen on the HAMB.

In the next issue, are they gonna show how to mess 'em all up to look "Ol Skool"??

Steve is the real deal. He did my 1955 Buick.
You'll notice some very non-'55 things on this dash. The A/C vents probably catch your eye. Those don't come on just any '55 Buick. Steve did that. Also, you probably don't get the touch screen hidden under the center speaker grill. That grill slides from left to right to reveal the touch screen when I want to see it. [IMG]

Steve did a killer job on the mechanics, metal, and just plain pure art on this project.

He built this center console for me. It is metal. I'll say that again - it is *metal*. The dude worked with some raw product, some basic tools, and a whole bunch of talent and built this wonderful chunk of art and style:

Oh, yeah... that is an AC outlet on the side. You never know if you are going to need some power for a blender or laptop or something. The other side of the console sports a USB port. Most Buick's don't need these, but this one does because of all of the custom software that drives that touch screen.

Oh, and the dude did the entire engine compartment. Don't look at this if you get envy sick easily.

Yup, that's all Sellers under there. The guy does origami with some of the hardest materials on earth. He can turn eighth inch steel into a bird, hat, or intake. You name it. And... I think he does it with vise grips. Steve don't need no million dollar equipment for his magic. This stuff is perfect. Flawless.

I'm proud to know Steve Sellers and love driving the car that Steve was instrumental in building for me.

There is a bunch more information on this great car at http://www.55buick.com/Project/index.html.

I am aware that there was situation that occurred about a week ago regarding Steve Sellers.

I just wanted to say a few things before anyone puts this one to bed.

Steve is a true friend, my wife and I have always considered him as a part of our family.

Not too many people have had a privilege to know Steve Sellers like I have.

I am sure you all know him as an amazing Craftsman.
On a personal level, Steve is also one of the most honest and generous people that I have met in my time of building cars. Together we have shared a lot of good times; good laughs and came up with some great idea’s.

Since I first met Steve, He has given a major contribution to my personal experience building cars.
The guy has been like an older brother to me. He has always gone the extra mile to help me out; even in a time when not too many others wanted to help a young kid out that no one ever heard of.

Whether it was Steve wanting to show me better ways to work sheetmetal, letting me use tools that I could not afford to own myself, giving me input on my designs or drawings, Or even late nights at the shop teaching me how to setup and spin out my own parts from a mammoth prewar lathe.

Like Steve, I taught myself how to build. I went from swinging wrenches on Vw’s to Building my first hotrod single-handedly fresh out of high school. (Pre discovery channel)

Steve is the guy that has always dug on my ideas, and gets off on seeing others with desire and imagination.

Unlike many out in the (scene), with Steve it’s never been about who you knew, how you look or where you come from. For him, it was to see a crazy kid thinking outside the box, and so eager to do things different than everyone else. He's a dude just like me, maybe even Just like you.

I can sit here for day’s and spit about my buddy Steve.

I know Steve has a tendency to take a lot of things to heart and might even become standoffish because of it; Personally, I feel he has a lot to offer this site, not only as a builder but as a person.

No matter what, I'll always have My boy steve's back! I'll take him with me till the end

I am not here to make amends for anyone, or give excuses for anyone’s actions.

I have the utmost respect for my fellow HAMBers and to Ryan for creating such an ingenious network filled with some of the most skillful hands of our time.

I just felt I owed a few words to a good friend I know as Steve , you all know him as Sellers.
