I have two of the old tire/wheel bubble balancers. What is used in the head- for making it "float?" One of mine has what looks like transmission fluid the other doesn't have anything in it. I think grandpa said he uses oil. Does it even matter as long as it's not water?

I'll see if I can find a pic somewhere on the net...I'm at work right now delving out punishment to the detention kids...

The ad that I stole the ebay pic from said they used ****** fluid (that's nasty to think about! ) but I'd like to hear it from someone here that I would have more faith in...

I think by ****** fluid they mean automatic, ATF...not 1936 Ford essence of sardine 140! Put in some Marvel Mystery Oil, and it will smell great!

ATF is fine! its just to slow the "wobble" down when ya put the tire & rim on it.

I have 2, and the bubbles are broke on both of them. Does anyone know where I can get replacements?
