Interesting...in the early days, speedsters were made from wood skeleton and canvas.

Although most will think the flames and skulls together are a trendy thing, it is cool and different. Im glad it was built, its good to see atleast one of every type of vehicle customized to there own liking.

I mean the skulls have a dark vibe to them which i dig.

I saw a '27 Volvo, their first year of production, at the International Auto Show in NY a couple of weeks back. It was covered in leather, except for the cowl. That's the way they made 'em back in the day in the old (and cold) country. So this is nothing new.

Looks to be pretty sharp and well done. The skulls are stupid and unnecessary, but the leatherwork looks to be top notch. Conditioning that has got to be a bitch though.

Anybody remember the cow hide covered model A? A RPU I think. Complete with the brown and white spotted hair. I didn't like it either.

  19. Old Deusenbergs and such had lacquer treated fabric bodies, so why not leather? Do a search for Weymann Coachwork.

  22. I like it....excellent leather work...skulls on the wheels and rear are a little much...but overall pretty original...beats the hell outta flat black with red wheels...

Yeah Tommy, I remember the "Comanche" I beleive they called it. I saw it at the first car show I ever went to as a kid. Covered in pleated unborn calves skin. Kinda odd but in a weird way I liked it. Wouldn't have to do much body work! LOL
