OT problems with tach

    I just put a tach in my F-150 (I know it's not traditional, but you people know alot anywho) and I accidentally hooked it up to the positive side of the coil. then when I hooked it back up to the negative side, it doesn't work. Did I fry it by hooking it up wrong?

    Have you called the tach manufacturer and asked them? That's what I would do.

    Do you have a multi-meter? You should be able to check it for continuity.

    This stuff actually is bulit with smoke inside. When you screwup you let the smoke out and it quits working :cool:
