That thing is awesome those are tough to chop I would think. Very clean. The only thing I don't like about those Buicks are the radiussed wheel wells.

Bill, looks like you're back home. You'll never be able to post too many pics of the Buick for me. Still love it, especially in paint!

  11. stunning job- i love the way you kept the pitch on the a-post by adding that touch to the windshield... spacer type thing. stunning!!! that took some serious balls to chop a hardtop with the 3 window back.

Looks like factory made it! Now roof of my '57 looks too high!
And yeah, '57 Buick really look good when kustomized on the right way, here is picture of my friends '57 stw.

It is originally four door station wagon, but he lengthened front-doors and made it to hardtop. All windows work like factory made it, and that took lots of work. Car is also chopped, it has '59 Cad front lenses and '60 De Soto "swivel" seats. There is 455 big block fitted under the hood... and he made all work, except chopping, himself!

    But this was totally O/T...

    Amen!

I have had 3 '57 Buicks, but had to sell them all to pay for school.

That was my first (driving) car, I drove it to high school, in the '90s.

I need to get another one some day.

    Love the color, btw.

    The Buick looks fantastic Bill!

Perfect style, almost like it how the factory designers had it in midn when they where asked to design the 57 Buick. Just a bit lower sleeker... than they had to make then for the public.

I really love the overal proportions, the amount of chrome.... perfect.

Let`s face it--If the Rikster says it`s good, then you know it`s GOOOOOODD!!! I used to know a guy named Glenn in the Bay Area that had a chopped 57 Hardtop...lots of good times in that car....

After working on the Buick for over 3 years, it's so
nice to hear all the kind words. The words of praise
make the long hours and work worthwhile. Still have
a lot of bolt on changes and detail work to do.

    Bill
