I just bought a 34 Hudson coupe thats in really good shape. The guy I'm buying it from took it apart and had the body dipped then stored it for about twenty years. The car is complete minus engine, trans and seats I think some traditional treatment would do it good. Anyone else have any pictures or build one?
I'll give you my left leg for it. I had a '35 sedan for a little while, man those are cool looking cars.
This great deserves a Restorod look with a hot 305 Hudson engine with Twin H Power, and ... aw heck, sell the fenders to a restorer and build a wicked chopped (but not too much) coupe ala Jake's 34 3 window.
My buddy is building a 34 Hudson 4 door(all suicide)sedan with a HEMI in it. They're really nice bodies eh.....Shiny
Those are cool body styles.....Are you building a bigger garage to hold all of the cool shit that you guys have been finding ??
35 on the bay right now.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1935...oryZ6472QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Dirty...It won't be ready for Bonneville I'm building a model A roadster and hope to be driving that out. The car will be here tomorrow and I can't wait I already made a spot in the garage for it.
Theres a guy here about 15 miles from me who's got an old Hudson pickup for sale cheap (he says). I think its a custom job, and its supposedly rough as hell, but I'm guessing it could be had for $200 or less. Here's a picture of it - if you're interested, PM me and I'll hook you up with him.
Well it arrived today and I am very pleased with it. I'm really liking this car but we have four cars to do before this so maybe it'll make it to Detroit next year. Gotzrider...I really like those Hudson pickups but I'm not a pickup man so if anyone PM's you let them save this truck. Thanks for posting it.
This is the only one I've seen fenderless and I just don't like it. The ass end is a little to big and the front end is a little to long the fenders are going to have to stay on.
No coupe, but I have a '34 2-door coach, and someone I know is building a '34 4-door sedan. Here's what it looks like at the moment..
Oh.... yeah.... I see what you are saying. I take that back, leave the fenders on. The condition of that thing is amazing, good luck with the build.
Dan34...thats a nice looking car can't wait to see pictures of it finished. lippy...were are you putting the back seat? That thing has some serious attitude, how about a side shot.
My uncle built a 34 Hudson sedan, it was cool looking. If I remember right the windows did something funky when you rolled them down. Seems like they came back a little first as a fresh air vent then went down. I could be thinking of something else. The lines in the 34's fenders really set those cars off. Definitely leave the fenders on. I'm thinking this car is screaming resto-rod! Especially as solid as that car is. Nice!
I'm glad you are doing it right. That thing has too nice of lines to be left as a "rat rod". I love the stance, I hope you leave it like that and not a "tail dragger".
This is my `30.With nailhead and BDS modified injection system,th-700 and rear end is 8 1/4 from ´86 Ram Van with locker and 4.10 gears. I think doors are from 35 or 36..??Frame is original, but chopped 4".
Here's some pics of the roadster we have. It was my girlfriends dads when he was a young bloke, he parked here in 1955. I saw some photos of it had to have it. Here is as it is after a little work, don't mind the wheels, they are just rollers. Hey Dan, sorry I hadn't shown you pics before, I have only just worked out how to post pics. Chevy.....
