HAMB event at El Mirage 5/5/07

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by desertratrodder, Apr 20, 2007.

  1. Some of us were talking about getting together at El Mirage for the season opener. So, is this still on?

BBQ, racing on Sat and Sun, beer and BSing.

If you've never been, its a must-do. Lots of racing history still running today.

Bring your camping gear so you can stay both days.

    Who is going?

  2. I would love to go. Been awhile since i've gone.

Three Rooms???? I'm used to those 3' wide, A frame deals, were you'll have to be "real" friendly to share.
Sounds good to me. No snoring.

  20. Tents work out great. Just don't leave your food in it, or you might have some nighttime "visitors". I'm not talking about ants, either.

depending on where you camp, you might want to bring along a bicycle for rides to the poopy box. It can be fairly far away.

What visitors????? You dont have fucking bears out there, do you???

  22. It's the desert, would these be things without legs?LIKE SNAKES!!!

  23. No, they are not bears. The snakes will stay away with all the cars driving around.
There are these little bat eared foxes that run around at night looking for food. They are bold enough to enter the camp at the edges, and they will take your food if left where they can get to it.

they are about the size of a big house cat.

    El Mirage meet's rule.
If you don't go, you're missing something awesome.
Make a point to be there.
Drive your crap out there and camp out.
    It's the best.
