So it's not like I don't have enough to do. But I've been working and planning and trying to get this off the ground for a while now and it's happening. I'm opening Rod-O-Rama for real. No more is it just the shop out back of my house. We've had the building for a little over a month and between the day job and the bar I've been super busy. Tons of stuff has been coming in or is on order. English wheel, bead roller, louver press, lifts, mill, lathe, gonna have it all. Even had a photo shoot a few weeks back... Photographer Frank Balthazar shot Audra Gwarskitty and Murph's truck as well as Rush's Buick in the shop. Not that we didn't get a lot done... this is what we started with... so we've come a long way... I'm looking to have it ready by the end of the month... look for a big Grand Openng shindig.... Oh and I already have shirts done... see the thread in the classifieds... or our very own Rod-O-Rama T page. If you're a vendor, a t-shirt maker, a manufacturer or whatever and want your stuff carried in a shop hit me up scott@rod-o-rama.com I plan on being an Alliance Vendor if Ryan will have me. But it'll be a few weeks, though we are already a dealer for Chassis Engineering, Coker, Morrison, and quite a few others.
You dont plan on ever sleeping again do you? You remind me of that Hey Mon guy from In Living Color................you got 26 jobs man. Murph's truck looks great in that pic. You guys need to do Paso again.
WHOO HOOO (<<because I'd want someone to be excited for me in this situation.) Congratulations and I'd say best of luck but it appears you have the skills and resources to be successful! Nice work! Mike
Sleep? what's that? yeah I need to do Paso again bad.... I might try flying in and hitching a ride with someone, who knows... <because i="" d="" want="" someone="" to="" be="" excited="" for="" me="" in="" this="" situation="">or maybe I need to buy a ride out there and come get it... </because>
WOW, I don't know how ya do it. Place looks great so far. Keep us updated with photos as you progress.
I'm gonna take some more pics this afternoon, those are all over a week old at least, except for the blonde in the shirt. Thanks man, and the pork BBQ for the drags will be officially sponsored by the shop this year, I'll bring more and take it off on my taxes...
Man the shop is looking great zman! It still boggles my mind how you have so much shit going on. You need to get the International back together and painted, as your Rod-O-Rama shop truck and calling card. Killer Filler can hook you up with cheap entertainment for your grand opening. I just scored a set of 1940 Slingerland Radio Kings I'm dieing to play out with. And even though we don't play swing, every time I sit behind the kit I start channeling Gene Krupa. Congratz and best of luck with the new venture. -murph
Onion headed monster! Cool. I was checking out your bar website. Like the art (and the pints of Guiness lined up on the bar don't look bad either). Best of luck on both buisnesses.
When is the grand opening? might need to run the backroads in the '40 (I missed meeting you @ Frank's @ Autofair - my blue '56 across the street). vic
working on all of it... just a little busy at the moment... are you sleeping? it's a big pain in the ass sometimes, but hopefully in the long run it'll be worth it.... Thanks everyone for all the well wishing...
I agree! its amazing what you can do with a broom and a coat of paint when you stir in LOTS of elbow grease! congrats and best of luck on this.
Good Luck. You are a busy boy running all of that. Bar looks interesting. Nice array of beers ( get PBR in the Bottle too! )
