Can someone please identify this Model A cowl? I'm waiting for it's arrival and have become curious.
I believe it is a 30-31 model year. Is there a way to determine if it was a 2 or 4 door, truck, coupe, etc. just from the cowl?

It is a 1930 cowl, no way to know the body style except that it is not a Fordor, Cabriolet, or Victoria since they have wooden sill framing.. The front fender irons indicate it is an early early 30. The instrument panel on the dash should be the 28-29 style with the oval speedometer.

Check the gas tank.......without a cap on it like the pix, I bet that it is rusted out and would be worth alot less if you are looking to buy it.

I see a nice T rear spring and some other frame stuff through the "windshield", be sure and get all the junk you can for the same money! Trading material and building material.

Not alll the model a's share the same bead on the body so figure out the size of the bead and that will help narrow it down. So if you plan to make a RPU you'll need to find doors from that body style if you want the bead to match. You can't go by subframe cause I've got the same in my sedan.

Yep you have one or the other. An early 30 coupe or tudor sedan cowl section. There is a way to determine what the frame was under by measuring the distance from the body mount to the steering mount hole if I remember but I may be wrong on this. I know that the tudor. pick up and Victorias had different bolt hole dimensions than the short door coupes and roadsters. I'll tryto go out and measure a couple of frames I have later to stir the memory and try to report back.

That looks just like my 30 Coupe. The man is right about the fender brace...doesn't look like a 30 there.
