Decided the only way to progress my coupe right now is to give all the parts not yet painted a coat of rattle can satin black. So all four fenders, plus the running boards are now painted and fitted. Bought a pair of hot rod 7" headlights, including sidelamps to save trying to source 36 parts for the lights. Decided the best way to mount the dodge taillight shells is with a swivel mount salvaged from an old lucas spotlight. So here is the first of four snaps showing the state of play as of 10.00PM Sunday night. Mart.

One of my favorite features of the '36 are the stock headlights. Why aren't you runnin em? Just too hard to come across over the pond? If so, anything us Americans can do to help? I think I might have one of em (not a pair)...
Bottle: The taillights are 36 Dodge buckets on Lucas spotlamp swivels, with Lucas 50's stop and tail lamps. The dodge mounts put the bucket a little too high for my liking. They are a bit bizarre, just wanted something that stands out. Limey: Yeah, Kev,I am tempted to paint it all black, but I think my daughter would kill me. Ryan, yes I like the 36 lamps too, but all I have are empty buckets. I need rims and lenses and some sort of conversion to run later units inside. I quite like the smaller lamps, and to me the main thing right now is to get the car street legal so I can go through the registration process. If I want to start gathering the parts for the lights I'll give a holler. Thanks for the offer of help. Mart.
Looks good Mart, but I agree with Ryan....the stock 36 headlights are beautiful pieces and would really make the car. On the other hand, being from Down Under, I can understand the legal issues and trying to get your ride registered in the UK. Keep up the good work !! Rat
