Hey guys, long story long, about a year/year and a half ago, I was sitting with my grandmother on her porch over looking the cove in Manasquan, and we got talking, about my grandfather(mechanic, good with his hands, HAHA sarcastic bastard, great guy), old days, the simple stuff, and then cars, and how much nicer they were and the colors. That was the spark that basically made me buy the 49 GMC. Well over the past year, I'm swamped with school, working, paying bills, so the GMC's kinda gotten side tracked and who would have guessed, is barely even touched let alone being close to being done. (the pile of parts waiting to go on has slowly grown tho). Fast forward to the past couple months, Lost an uncle, an old friend from high school OD'ed, and grandmother went for surgery to get a hernia fixed (she's doing great). And it's hit me, she's not gonna be around forever, and one of the things I really look forward to the most is just to pick her up and take her for a ride in something from her past. So to get to the point...

My Bday's May 23rd, and I keep thinking what the hell I wanna do, meet up with friends, go out to eat, go to a bar, etc;and it's all the same shit and doesn't really mean that much in the long run. So basically I'm putting a call out to see if anybody can help me or know some one who may, basically wondering if I can either borrow/"rent" a car/truck, whatever for even a couple hours. Like I said she lives in Manasquan, probably just to surprise her, pick her up, take her out to lunch, give her color swatches to pick out this maroon she keeps talking about and loves for my truck, and quick cruise. Only reuests, is it's gotta have a decent ride (she is a kicker, but I doubt she'd be able to enjoy kidney shattering bumps), be fairly good shape. No tetnis shots, and no low/loud/and mean (never thought I'd hear myself say that). Like I said if I can somehow pull this off, it would mean the world to me and I'm sure her

I'm the type to lend out my truck, drop everything to help a friend, loan out money, even give away parts I don't need at the time. And not the type to ask for help, but got a feeling this is a time it's worth curbing the "tough guy" thing. I know this is a pretty big thing to ask, but hoping those good deeds in the past will pay off and karma gods will help me out here. Thanks a lot for any help you can give me.

I fall into the low and loud category, the truck falls into the the tetnis category, and the shoebox falls into the no goddamn motor category. Sorry.
