Hi, I purchased what I believe is a 1919 Dodge Brothers Roadster with a Turtle Shell deck lid, (body only). In sanding through some old primer on the deck lid I found some writing. It says A and L Concrete Midevale Utah and an address. The doors are welded shut and the rear inner fenders are cut to drop the body down. We believe the car raced in Utah back in the 50's, probally Salt Flats. I called the SCTA and without a drivers name or number they can not help. I have done some research and traced the body back to about 1980 in Placerville, Ca. where a son of a dirt track racer bought it and never used it I located the concrete company in Utah, and spoke with the daughter of the owner who is now deceased. She does not remember the car but said her father would have sponcered a race car. That is where my research has ended, can anyone help.
first, go post an intro in the proper place...second, what's the address and any other info you can gimme. i know LOTS of car guys in the area and deal with several old timers on a daily basis. (see bottom of sig)
Sorry, I have posted an intro. The roadster deck lid has,A and L Concrete 67 E 8000 S. Midvale, 84047. The owner's wife is Lorna Kummer and her son is Arnold Osborn and daughter is Mrs. Erickson. I spoke with both son and daughter who don't remember anything. I can be reached at 530-919-7737 any time, Thank You, Dave
