We did this once before: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81883&showall=1 But it's fun to do it again. I'll never be able to afford real Halibrand Racemasters, so I'm going to make up a fake set using Lincoln/Cordoba wheels. I have a diabolical plan on how I'm going to do it and will post how soon.
Here is the new look, I got a set of unpainted mini trim rings from Jimmy here on the HAMB and painted them the same as the wheel insert. Waddaya think? BB
Here are the steelies on my '60 ... Without trim rings ... And with trim rings. And I know it sits way too high ... that's a project for this summer.
i have told lotsa people this while at shows and such... wheel choice on cars are like high heels on a woman .. nice face ,hair, dress... the shoes are the finishing touch some ya like .. some the shoes don't help .... no matter how high the skirt..but a smile and attitude helps now go change your shoes...
Cool thread. I made my decision a week ago. Bought Firestone WWW´s. 5.50-16 in front and 7.50-16 at rear on Pontiac ´41 rims. I think the choice of sizes was perfect. Still missing the chrome rings and Ford hubcabs though. --mika
I think they were Studebaker rims in Jimmy White´s pickup. Featured on TRJ and Rolls&Pleats. --mika
I may well be getting mixed up but isn't this Jimmy Shine's truck? Mentions in the site that the wheels are made but him. http://www.jimmyshine.com/BareNekid-index.htm
Too new for you guys, (wrong kind of Deuce.) but i think this combo of 40 year old wheels and tires looks pretty cool... My 70 Yenko Nova with period correct rolling stock.

Dude! I'm normally like: "Live & let Live", but I gotta say, YUK, YUK, & double YUK! This car is on the wrong website!
Are those late model Crown Vic wheels on the blue Ford? Did you have the caps made to fit? Either way look nice on there.
You hope these photos help, that's an understatement! Very nice! Hey, Skipper, who took the photo of your 'T' pickup? I can feel the pebbles of the asphalt in my chest, just by looking at it! I love it!
I know I am guilty of having too many "shoes" for the cars also. The Z/28 has a set of Rallys and a set of 17" Centerlines. The Cutlass has a set of Salt Flats and a set of rallys (skinny 3" wide fronts for the strip) The Fairlane has a set of steelies and a set of Torque Thrust knock-offs. My Monte Carlo has just a set of factory Rallys now but also had a set of 15" wires with vogues that looked damn nice. It got too much attention from the wrong people though so off they went. Sad part is, about every two years I think one of the cars needs a new set of wheels.
