tire size for my 49 Ford

I am lowering my 49 and was wondering about tire size for my Ford. What are people running, with similar setups. Your help is greatly appreciated.

 

Bias ply or radials?

 

6.40-15 or 6.70-15 on cookertires.com u can se how higw one particully tire are

 

205/75r15

 

im running 6.70x15

 

i'm probably going to run the bias ply, as they have a bigger whitewall...it sounds as though i will be compromising ride quality...thx for your suggestions...

I run 670-14s. Solved all My old tire rubbing problems. But these old Bias plys are coming OFF !! The car handles like SHIT on the Freeway. Unless Im on a new flat asphalt road with no grooves and separation lines, THEY SUCK.
And Yes, I have a complete Fatman dropped spindle kit with tierods-Volvo box-Jamco springs and shocks. Then I took it to a reputable alignment shop.
Do yourself a favor and get radials. My 49 Merc has the origional frontend parts. We had to heat everywhere there was a zirc so it would take grease.
I put radials on it and it cruises at 80 all day long. FEDER

 

I had bias ply tires on mine when I bought it. The car changed lanes on me once and I was wtf?
I put radials on it and man it was like I rebuilt everything on it.
