...THIS IS PRETTY COOL OTHER THAN THE MODERN FUSEBOX UNDER THE DECK, THE WINDSHIELD AND THE ****** ITS SEEMS TO HAVE ALL THE RIGHT OLD PARTS. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD...84QQihZ002QQcategoryZ6057QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
the wiring uder the deck is OK with me, but why didn't he just buy a long drag link instead of extending the one that's there? 7/8 DOM isn't THAT expensive! I'd drive that car. The Jalopy Showdown... here we come!!!
Yeah I'd Love To Have A Little Shop As Nice As That. Lots Of Cool Little Toys To Play With, Bet It's Climate Controlled To...
I like it, but I think it needs some bigger headlights, but then again, I'm a guy and i like big headlights!!!
Is it just me, or does it look like there'll be no area under the dash for pedals? Looks almost like they'll be attached to the firewall, and you'll be reaching a long way for the steering wheel. Might be wrong...
Hmmmm, fairly creative, has the right look, didn't fall into all the usual little boxes that the skilled HAMB reviewers want things to fit into...maybe it's a hot rod not a resto-trad. car. Buy it, change what ya don't like? Charlie
Pedals are there. Just looking at how you have to straddle the trans with how close the pedals are to the steering wheel makes me think it would be a ***** to drive it. eh, maybe we're both wrong
Yea they kinda dropped the ball on the windshield and the tail lights may not fly with a lot of the fellas. That said the windshield unbolts and I coud probably live with the tail lights until the perfect ones came along. Be fun to scoot around town in or maybe even cruise a couple of towns over.
I think he was trying to make something that looked like an authentic track roadster so he left some rough edges and minimized the street legal stuff. Kinda pulled it off from a distance but for me, the trans kills it up close.
Huh? Why the dig at us all Charlie? We're not THAT bad!!! (Yes we are! Hahahaha) Actually it fits into the "little boxes" much better than most. It's a Track T (Obviously!)...and has all the bells and whistles it should have...plus some unobtrusive additions to make it street legal. Doubt its comfortable, but the dropped aluminum floor tub will most likely have the room you need to drive it, just that the pictures don't give a good angle to see it. Cool little project but I'd prefer to build it as a 2 seater. WAY to much fun to enjoy all alone!!!
I don't know about big headlights on guys... but I sure like 'em on the girls! Oh, and the Ford in the auction looks okay... some things would be different if I did it - but WTF, I wasn't writing the checks! Still looks cool. -bill
