Dual carb manifold for a flathead ford, the first with the Edelbrock name on it.

It's a simple case of supply and demand. I hate it but it's reality. I've been looking for an Edelbrock B262 (2x4 Nailhead) manifold for a while and they keep going up... Same thing.

  10. I am gonna be keeping mine a while longer, to bad it has been polished. Not sure how much that hurts the resale value. Any thoughts on how much that would hurt resale?

Just last year they were $1,000.00 to $1,600.00.

It's been explained to me, that Baby Boomers are cashing-in their IRA's for just about anything that lets them relive their youth. In 10 years this stuff will be worthless, because most will be in old folks homes, or dead, and then Honda parts will rule eBay.

Price looks to be right in line with what you'd be looking to get for the Kinmont discs if you unloaded them.

Rare parts that are in demand bring the big cabbage.

    Nothing new.

I paid 2K a couple months ago for this intake.

A repop of a factory Pontiac intake. It's one of only 22 made, real ones go for twice what I paid.

I wanted it, I bought it. No big deal, sometimes ya just gotta pay a lot for something that will make your ride special.

Part of the game, priced any '32 Ford parts lately? People buy this shit because they want it, not because they need it.

Wow. I've always wondered a few things about Slingshots. They were supposedly one of the early dual carb flathead manifolds that really worked; tested on the lakes. So why aren't there more around? I've seen a couple on cars and a handfull in collections. It seems like Vic Sr. would have cashed in on their popularity back in the day. I wonder how many were made. And why hasn't Edelbrock retooled and brought them back? Maybe that $2900 will get their attention too.

SOUND MORE LIKE AN EXCUSE NOT TO RUN A VINTAGE ENGINE !!

NOT ALL EARLY MANIFOLDS DEMAND SUCH HIGH DOLLAR PRICES.

THIS GUY IS FISHING FOR A RUBE TO PAY THAT KINDA $$ .... I KNOW WHERE 2 ARE IN AN OLD GUYS GARAGE AND I KNOW HE WOULDNT EVEN THINK OF SCREWING ANYONE FOR ALMOST 3 GRAND FOR AN OLD INTAKE.
