    Hey Ya'll
I recently have purchased a 1973 Chevy 350 engine to sometime (Hopefully this year) put in my ole 57 GMC truck. I already have a 4-speed Muncie to go in it too. Now I know that the 350 is a very common engine that alot of people have in their Rides. It is cheap to maintain and parts are handy to come by as well. I purchased my 350 because I am on a strict budget too! However, I would like to make it look different somehow. I was thinking about maybe putting on a set of Cadillac Valve Covers in place of the Chevrolet Valve Covers that are on it now. I have heard that maybe the 1962 Cadillac Valve covers will bolt right on my Chevy 350. Does anyone know for sure if this is true? I just want something with the embrossed letters on the Valve Covers that say, "CADILLAC" or even "OLDSMOBILE" of another make other than Chevy. Maybe Oldsmobile? I do have a BatWing Air Cleaner for my 350 already that I am going to use as well. Please help me to find out what years I need to be looking for on the Valve Covers so that someone might not recognize my 350 right away. Also, if anyone has any Valve Covers that they might want to sell cheap, let me know. I would also appreciate any suggestions too! I am not too old to learn! HA!
Just trying to be a little different and stay on my, I mean my Wife's budget plan.
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks Ya'll for the Info! I did not realize that this had been covered sooo many times before. I do not get on the HAMB as much as I used to because of my current Job. After reading a few of the Posts and comments, I might just change my mind and go with something else. I wouldn't want to be accused of being Gay about this Valve Cover thang. HA!

And not everyone digs whitewalls... so!

Put em on there and don't worry bout it... More people will say something here cause you're on the internet, but they'd never say it to your face in public at a show!!

What's wrong with the small block CHEVY covers,it's a GMC.Those covers are for Ford guys that don't want to admit to CHEVROLET POWER.:D How about painting chevy covers, but add an early GMC emblem of some sort.Be creative, and unique.

I have M/T covers on an olds with Oldsmobile body script attached. I just drilled a couple holes and added a little epoxy over the press nuts.

Yeah. Thats pretty much what I did with my Packard valve covers. Except most of the pins were broken off so I drilled and tapped the bosses where the pins had been, 2-56 and screwed the script on with some JB Weld on the threads and screw head.
