I just got this intake, I thought it fit an international, but nope. On the bottom in chalk is written 50-56 Hudson, but all the pictures of hudson intakes i could find have individual runners. The runners are real close to being 10" center to center , overall length is 24". I'd really appreciate any help with ID'ing it. Also if turns out to be something you're looking for PM me, I may not need it afterall....since it doesn't fit my application.

Hey, I have a stack of NOS Ellis intakes (power enhancers as they are called) I might have one for yor truck if you give me a good description. I have been trying to locate an Ellis catalog but always end with dead ends. Do you know anyone that has one?

Looked all over it and didn't see any stamping. The runners come pretty much straight off the manifold, as opposed to dropping down with an elbow like the one you have pictured. Thanks.

Well there is this mark on the bottom. Kinda looks like it could be an IH logo. The manifold won't fit the 50-52 L-120 I have in the driveway. If it is an International intake, anyone have a clue to what year it's for?

That's just a piece of steel used in the casting process. IHC was my first impression as well. Ellis only made intakes for truck engines, and I've seen them for obscure applications like old Macks, and the series 3 GMC sixes that only came in huge trucks. It amazes me that, since they were made for the purpose of giving otherwise stock truck engines a little more ooomph, none of them have a provision to bolt to the stock exhaust manifold.

Yeah it's really similar to the one on the truck but the truck's runners are 9" on center... I mean I could section the intake, but c'mon thats just retarded.

  11. it's not Mopar flathead six, not that that's much help.

  12. mine has that same mark on the bottom, but on both sides, if that helps any....

c'mon between all the H.A.M.B. garages and storage sheds there must be an example of every internal combustion engine ever made..... someone has to recognize this intake.

That ellis intake is proably for one of the earlier 'kb' series trucks. The ellis intake for the L and R-series trucks doesn't have the downturned ears at the outside runners. Here is a picture of my intake for the sd-220 and sd-240 engines. Sorry for the bad pictures, but the intake is very clearly marked 'sd-220, sd-240, ihc, etc..'

    cheers
