Hey so I was browsing around yesterday at pepboys and saw some autshifters and was wondering if anyone is using one or has used one? They are pretty cheap so i was thinking about picking one up. Any info would be great thanks

Yeah, they work fine. It's essentially the same thing as a Hurst Indy'matic. I've used both, and I find the quality of the Hurst better for sure, but both work fine

I used one on a 26-T I built two years ago. It was OK but just that, a lot of extra parts for installation depending on your application

  8. OOPS! But they have them for autos, too, around the same price.

If you got a swap coming up just look there, I got a Hurst Indymatic for 5 bucks at one

  12. I picked my hurst up for 50.00 new.

The only problem with either is that there is no reverse lockout. I don't have a problem I just don't excited when I shift, but if that's a concern you mabe should look toward the B&M its a little higher but at least it has detents to help you not screw up.

  13. Like he said.....................I have one in the 54. No reverse lockout and no positive detents, you use the detents in the tranny. I paid $30 and it was $40 too much. Save up for a real shifter.
