Cool! Standard response here is drop it and drive it. But first do something about the drivers side wiper.
I read the title of this thread and immediately wondered if it was going to be about my ex-wife. Seriously though, it outta be a fun car! Good luck! If you find my ex-wife, keep her!
Hell, it sounds like my CURRENT wife that I had to send down the road. Sweet car there, just don't put one of those new trendy paint jobs on it that shines, they're WAY overrated
Sweet Man! I'm Picking Up A 54 2 Door Here In A Couple Of Weeks. They Are Fun Cars. Easy To Make Look Great!
She is mostly complete.... well sort of. Blue Flame 235 and a cast iron Powerglide automatic transmission. She was rescued from a junkyard and when we tried to move her the wheels wouldn't roll. We had to lift her onto a trailer with a backhoe then use two come-alongs to drag her off so we could break apart the brakes till the wheels would move. When I got her she was missing a fuel pump, carb, radiator, exhaust, and a gearshift. So far I have a new carb. Been lookin for a floor shifter but that seems to be a bit of a snag. Engine's out now and headed to a rebuild shop this week. She will be primer gray once I get that dark blue off her. (its frakkin spray paint) Original color was Light blue with a white top but I'm think she'll be gloss black with a Chevy Orange roof and the stripe where the Bel Air logo is on the side will also be Orange. Might be some tribal pinstriping but I'm not 100% sure where or what specific art I may try. I've painted little models for tabletop gaming for years but never had a vehicle before that I cared enough about to try makin it pretty. Once there are some significant improvements I'll be posting more pics. Thanks for the encouragement! This is gonna take a while!
