I'm putting a 53 rear under the 49 Chevy to get a better gear ratio and better brakes. I'm replacing all of the brake components. I have been able to find all new parts except the br*** junction block/banjo fittings. This fitting is on the end of the brake line that comes down the rear axel and attaches to the rear wheel cylinder with a hollow bolt. No parts supplier seems to have these new fittings. Does anyone know of a replacement fitting that would work? thanks, Bill
maybe filling station or national chevy? I think you can use newer wheel cylinders and eliminate it. I have a 55 rearend, so its a little different, but my 53 brakes fit on it. http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...~S22R0RQQ6865168993414d~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50000014x
Chevs of the 40's and National Chevy don't have them. The Filling Station had some but they have to order them in and aren't sure they are for the 3/16 lines...I will see when they get here.
