    Hello there,
Like many others recently I have been lurking here for a while. This has to be the coolest site I have ound. eBayis a close second.

My name is Keith Houghton and I live in Castro Valley, CA while not going to college in Prescott, AZ. I have a 1949 Hudson Club Coupe with a 1956 341 DeSoto Hemi with a 700R4 behind it. I have already broken one hudson rear end, and second gear is gone in the 700R4. This thing has torque like crazy and I can squeak out 20mpg while cruizing at 70-75. Anyway here is a pic of it about a year ago. looks the same now.

Cool ride. For some reason DeSoto motors and Hudsons always seemed a good combination to me - wasn't there a dry lakes car with that combination? Looks good but where are your rockers??

Welcome. Love them "one off rides". Had a friend a number of years ago who had a Hudson like yours but he had an early 354 cu.in Chrysler Hemi in it. Ran like a scalded dog. Welcome to "The Right Place".

  7. Welcome, MY grandpa used to have a Hudson just like that and he put 400,000 miles on it.

The rockers are in the back yard waiting to screwed on. I was never in that big of a hurry to get 'em back on. I just enjoyed driving it, that is until 2nd let loose. Now I'll get it all decent looking for the summer.
    Thanks for the compliments.

    It looks good lowered too!

I have known Keith since he was a kid. I bought a Hudson from his dad and I've known them both ever since. You will not meet nicer guys than Keith and his dad Dave. Keith knew more about cars when he was 14 than most adults. BTW Keith has been Billetproof registrant #1 the last two years. He's a killer addition to the HAMB.

I'm more of a **** but thanks. We just packed up the lunchboxes to make rom for the baby's room. Yep a baby. After I told Christina that I ran into your dad last week the first thing she wasked was if I told him we were having baby. I forgot to. So tell him. We talked mostly about you and the cool path you've taken. He's super proud of you and I'm proud to know you.

Well Well Well. I am gone for a couple of days and I miss this one.
    Welcome to the HAMB.
    My name is also Keith.
    I happen to have a 49 brougham.
    Same color as yours.
    It has a 460 / c6 combo.

I plan on doing a body swap on the thing soon. I plan on setting the body down over an early 80's lincoln pan.

  16. Welcome man, we need another Hudson on here! I have a 50 Super 8 Club Coupe, maybe we can stage a little Historic NASCAR race at Billet Proof one of these years!! Cool car (gotta love a car that the rockers screw on to, no welding!)

Keith, which school are you going to up there in Prescott? If you ever get the chance you should come down to Phoenix on a Friday or Saturday night for the cruises. I don't think your "car addiction" is getting fed up there in Prescott. Let me know if you plan to come down.
