Those 69 chargers gotta be getting rare simply because they totaled like 400 of them on the show.

    Thats just stupid!

  4. With that sort of thing its more an investment than a fan collector item. Probably go to the Pommy guy that has the rigi didge Mad Max car and a **** tin of other movie cars!!

  5. There was an auction out here a couple weeks ago where at least 6 of the movie cars were up for grabs.

Anybody go? It was in Buena Park.

  6. That is just stupid, it is a recreation car built for some reunion show. I think you could build one for a lot less.

I just don't get it. You must really love that show to spend that kind of money on a car that was on the show. And then you have a car that has been copied numerous times, only your's was on the show. I can't appreciate that for that kind of money.

It's not just a General Lee, or even just one used for the Reunion show...it's John Schneider's personal General Lee, that he's used and driven the hell out of, and that's what's driven the price up. General Lee for a show, prototype for the latest movie cars, one of the first big-inch Hemi crate engines, and Bo Duke's personal car = big bucks.

It would have to come with Daisy in the early days plus throw Jessica Simpson, then i could buy the car with her money and drive it to charity events while she supports me in more ways than one

Anyone know when the reserve was dropped? Just wondering. Two guys were talking about this auction at the resturant and I thought he said it was up to $500,000 and reserve was not met yet. That was like 3 days ago but forgot about it until I saw the post. Steve

  17. Seems to me, the kind of person with this kind of money would not be a fan of the T.V. show. This is the third or fourth thread about this I've seen in 24 hrs.

yep, that's impossible... why would Barret Jackson only get 2-4 mil. for rare GM one-off prototypes, but ebay fetches 9 mil for a 69 charger owned by a has been actor? It has to be fake.

  24. In the discription Schneider says he wants to sell the car so he can build another car ... I guess sooooo. A SMART GUY!! ! His cost to build it was I am sure a drop in the bucket. Then over the next 10 years, he drives it to several special events, gets some special people to write on the car with permanant markers and VIVI LA ... A tiddy profit !!

In my *****cent years I was a huge fan of A: Daisy and B: Chargers. I make no excuses for loving that show back then, it was a must watch for me. I have the image of Catherine Bach's *** imprinted in my medula oblongata as she kicks Roscoe as he is turned around in the beginning of the show. In spite of what that ******* Father Time has done to her today, back in the day that was some fiiiiiiiiiine ****.

Have you checked the Auction lately? The bid is now (and I'll write it out) nine million nine hundred thousand dollars ($9,900,700). Kinda makes that rusted '32 Ford roadster for $32,000 look like a blue light special at K-Mart.
Hope I'm just tired, but will somone else check and see if I've over medicated myself this morning.

I was wondering the same thing. I did notice that there has been quite a few adminstration cancellation on it including yesterdays high bidder (bidder 50). He had a price of $12,000,000.00 on it. His other auctions he's bidding on were like dvd's, knives, not you're typical big dollar investor type stuff.
I also wonder about the new high bidder (bidder 1) because he does have 6 bid retractions in the last 6 months.
