Here's a few, if you want more, I'll put some more up. I'm kinda interrsted in RPU's right now... Pontiac Shortroof Dallas' Longroof Nads and the Delusionaires, I could be the guitarists stunt double. The most flattering picture I could find...
That was just about the best show I have been to. Music all day, laid out perfectly and that motel was killer. We had a great time and I think all who attended should thank Walt for putting on a hell of an event. Hope to see some more pics....The Delusionaires and Psycho DeVilles put on some great performances too. Tim MBL
Dude Dallas' ride is right where it needs to be.....Killer...and the first time most of us had seen it. Quite interesting watching him put gas in the thing sitting on the ground and him being 8 feet tall. Tim MBL
Thanks for the props...Some how I ended up winning the NUT BUSTER!!! Award. I have a sneaky feeling there wasnt even a vote?
What a great show Walt and his crew put on. Everything was perfect, the location, the weather, the organization. I'd have to say it was huge success and it's gonna get BIG. Thank you Tim for the kind words, your band rocked too brother. When you have old timers that played rockabilly guitar back in the day make comments about your authentic playing that's the best compliment, right? I dug Blownranger's dual quad Caddy powered RPU, the blue one above. He told me the engine came out of a restored Muntz Jet, the guy's putting a Lincoln OHV V8 in the Muntz now. The engine's exactly as it was pulled and it's spot on. I grooved on Dallas' '60 wagon, that thing's just plain awesome. Dig the paintjob Dave put on her and the car was bagged by Chris, the kid's only 18 years old. When I was 18 I could barely wipe my own ***. All in all one of the best combinations of Rock'N'Roll and Hot Rods ever seen in the state of Florida. Boy am I tired though, gonna have to reconfigure the pedal and gearshift positions because the '34 can't be driven long ways without severe discomfort.
Nads!? You can wipe your ***? This weekend was full of surprises! Right back at ya for the kind words. Tim MBL
Hello all.... I cant believe its over. We planned that event for nine months. It was worth it. Great cars and bikes and music. And for the most part everyone was on there best behavior The bands were great. Did you guys get to catch Laramie Dean? very cool. I think all the bands were at there best. I think the stage, sound and crowd brought them all to there highest level of energy and there talent shined. The bowlers even got two huge color pics in the sunday paper. I have to thank my bandmates for there tireless effort. Steve did a great job on the sound and lighting wouldnt you agree? And kevin, a**** other things put in many hours at the front gate which is kind of a thankless job. Also to Don and Linda Bennet spending all day at the front gate. But can you imagine what it would have been like without all the support we got from you?? THe participants that made the show? THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT. THANKS FOR BEING THERE. Though we are a bit sore and burnt to a crisp. We are glad we did it. After running around all day and talking to everyone I dont know how my band pulled off playing a set too. Thanks again, hotrodwalt
Hey Mike, that 'Pontiac shortroof' isn't a Pontiac, it's a '59 ElCamino with a Pontiac front clip, it's amazing.
few more Outside the funky FLW designed hotel Some of the Salvagers(sp?) from So Fla. The b*** line up
Walt we all can't thank you enough for your effort on this one....what paper was that in? I'd like to see it.. Tim MBL
Ryan, if you think our cars are funny you ought to see our women. I saw a picture of you from the LSRU, I know what you look like now.
Hey, what's that funny lookin' flag over that hotel? Cool shots. Might have to put that one on the "some day if I ever tunnel my way out of debtor's prison I'm gonna go on a road trip" list.
You did good Walt! Perfect weather, neat place, great sites and sounds, despite the fact my wife and I where 20 years older than anyone there,we had a super weekend. I ain`t bull ****tin,Nads group really get down!I`ve known Walt for a little while as a rodding buddy, but was really impressed how he rocked the house on stage. These guys ain`t no amateurs! Looking forward to next year? JR...
Great show, cool cars, and everyone was nice. Those 2 RPU's (especially the blue one since I'm partial to caddy motors) are the ****. It's kind of ironic that right before the event I talked Dallas into buying a AAA plus membership in case his wagon screwed up & had to be towed home, yet it was MY car that ended up on the flatbed back to Tampa. Yea, that wagon has definitely come a long way since we had it hauled back here from Tulsa 2 years ago. It's only about 70% done & it's already killer. Big thanks to Walt, who obviously put a lot of time and effort into making it come together. The show rocked, and the motel was really cool too.
Repo...what happend to the riv? I didn't see it geting towed. Definately a huge thanks needs to go to Steve running the sound for the bands...It really was alot of work to mix all of those uprights and I don't think Kevin was in one spot for 5 min running around making it happen. You guys really outdone yourselves. Tim MBL
The El Camino with the Pontiac front clip was built in Oregon by a good friend who moved to Florida.Did some work on it and miss seeing it around . You Florida guys should look him up if you're into Customs.
Walt thanks for putting on a great show. It can only get better. A big shout out to the bands also as they did the best sets I've ever seen them do. More pics Mike. That was Dallas' wagon maiden voyage other than a trip or two around the block. We put the hammer down on the way home and it performed flawlessly.
Tim.... Your pics were in the SUN. I bought you a couple copies. Dallas' car was one of my favorites too. Good job. Blownranger..... Thanks for the nice comments and the tires. Oh yeah I gotta thank the psycho-deville wives for all there help too.... Taking care of the beer and merch. please post more pics......
Speaking of funny cars in Florida, I sold mine on Sunday. Don't worry guys --- I'll have another one soon. I had a blast and worked my *** off. Thank you all for the support. I love all of you. (in a NON- gay way)
MBL - thanks for noticing the work put into this thing. I am so sunburnt, I actually got a small blister on my neck. Yeah I wore sunblock. But the sweat washed it off I guess. There will definitely be another ARR next year. I have purchased the URL - atomicrockabillyrumble.com and will have pictures as well as updates with band info and motel info in a few weeks. Thanks Kevin
