How hard would it be to put a hood top, or 1/2 hood (or whatever you call it) on this for a guy with no body skills? Do I just measure and buy a hood, or is there much more to it than that?

    Crap, I'm a moron. It's a 29 Model A. I just got through reading a post about 32s and I guess I had 32 on the brain. My bad......

You can make up a hood top for the car. Use heavy butcher paper as your pattern. Run multiple strips of masking tape from cowl to radiator shell ledge to establish a "line", then lay your paper down and mark for cutting. Cut it out. You'll have a fat "C"-shaped pattern. Try the fit again and fasten in place with tape. Mark the bend lines from points in front to points on the cowl.
Cut from 18 gauge steel or aluminum and bend over a gas cylinder mounted on a table or pair of sawhorses. Test fit after each bend.
    It will eventually work out.

OK, cool. Thanks. I may be able to handle that.

Any special way you would connect it to the firewall and cowl?
