Well, it's been a while since I posted some of the newer stuff(past year) that I have done to the car. I got an almost complete interior, replaced the A shell with a '32, and pinstriped the beltline with some simple lines...not fun as it's been a LONG time since I striped and long lines aren't so easy. Got an exhaust put on so I can hear myself think, still uncap it from time to time...love that sound. I also replaced the generator with an alt. that looks like an old genny. No charging issues, runs cool(174-178), been driving it daily for a long time now, all's well...thanks to a lot of you guys.

POLL: '28 or '32 grille shell?

The interior was done by Antonio at Antonio's Upholstery near downtown San Jose, CA. He is fast and reasonable, and easy to work with. The color is Oxblood, and it looks old-timey because of the darker irregularities in the material.

I'm dissapointed to see the 32 shell, and thats comming from a 32 owner! I really reckon you car sat by itself with the A shell, it was something different. And to be honest, up until I saw the A on your car I would have always used a 32 shell on a channeled A, but I really loved your car with the A shell.

if your going to keep the 32 you need to section it some though. to get the proportion right.

regardless the cars sweet. and a credit. job well done.

I also liked the A shell but if you were to chop the '32 shell, it would look a lot better and could change my mind. Looks a little loooooooonnnnng.:D-Kick *** ride man!

Thanks for the input...I should have mentioned that I do intend on sectioning the shell, just got it in the mail yesterday and modified it enough to fit on the car to see how it looked. I couldn't wait! I also made it so the '28 and '32 shells are interchangeable and mount to the same place so I can have a different look if I change my mind. Everyone seems to like the A shell...I did it originally to set it apart a little, but always dreamed of having a hot rod with a flatty and a '32 grille...the quintessential hot rod. Hey, Kustom55...the color is a custom mixed color based on a pewter/olive Volvo color.
