Some of you know the saga of Joe C., a fellow Kontinental, from New Orleans, who lost his house for the most part during Katrina, nothing was left inside that was not under water, and before that had a very dishonest, supposed hot rod builder, and I use that in the loosest terms, this builder ripped off customers and ruined many a car in a very short period of time, including Joe's 29 sedan, but that's all water under the bridge. There is a silver lining......Joe C. is moving along on getting his home put back together so he and his gal can once again live inside it as opposed to in the front yard in a FEMA trailer, but the best and most recent news I received yesterday is beleive it or not, after 5 years of pain and suffering and help from few great friends, thanks Reggie and thanks Raymond, Joe C. is on the road in the green '29 sedan that was almost a lost cause before it got rescued from the good for nothin' ripoff artist outside of San Antonio. The Jewel is on the road and Joe is behind the wheel. I know someone has a pic of the car, it was towed into the 2nd annual LSRU still unfinished but in paint. Reggie, Joe C? post a pic or two.......I am so happy that thing are getting turned around for Joe and that Lil Jewel is a great start. Now lets see some pics and a video of that thing going down the street. I can't beleive it.

Glad to hear things are going well and the car is on the road. This car was on Reggie's trailer when his Navigator was hit by an 18 wheeler and totalled, after he had done all the work on the sedan, it came very close to being wiped out in an accident, but was not damaged.
Reggie you do great work.. Yeah that guy who'm over the years has burned tons of people and guys like us and others have constantly warned people about this fool, only to fall on deaf ears... Can't say nothing else other than he's done it in the past YEARS BACK, before this guy (sorry for everything you've endured) and he'll keep doing it after.. Certain people are looking for this idiot, whom i've heard belong to a certain local biker gang (BANDIDOS).
Ryan couldn`t say it any better.....And I can`t wait to get my hands on it and stripe it like Roth did................Endsville. I left my heart in Texas........
....I can hardly believe it myself. I drove into new orleans day before yesterday and haven't stopped driving it since. It's amazing to have this car on the road. Unbelievable, really. Words can not express my profound gra***ude for all the help I've received. Raymond and his brothers Ashton and John at Reliable Hot Rods on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain have been doing the final build and working out the bugs. They rule. If you're ever in the area drop by and check them out. Reggie, as you all know, is THE MAN. He brought this car back from the edge and let me tell you, it goes. Thank you so much Reggie. Steve, el Jefe, is about as great a friend as a person could ask for. And of course, the HAMB. If you're out in cyberspace looking for hot rods and customs you'll find them here. VIVA el HAMB. I'll post some pics soon....... Joe C. hey franco......looking forward to that...... JC
Hey Joe, that's awesome!! I'm proud for ya. That car had a rough pregnancy and delivery....but its now on the upside of life. Fella's, thanks for the kind words. It feels good to have a hand in righting a wrong. But as you can imagine it was twice as difficult to fix someone elses mess than it is to build from scratch. Steve this stuff doesn't happen without someone like you ....and Raymond, thanks for wrapping it up and putting a bow on it. I know you had to do a lot of wrapping. You two are the best......and Joe, I want to see you and Val take a trip to Nebraska and pick up the parents. I know how much they love that car.
