well im doing my homework once before i buy and realize then things dont work. i want to run a set of fentons on the old 216 and all the after market manifold for 2x1 have that gaping hole in the bottom for the exhaust manifold to bolt up to. do you just make a plate to cover the bottom and not warm up the manifold or whats the deal with that? any tips or feed back greatly appreciated. thanks tom
Most offer a plate This was just a yahoo search...most companies should have them http://www.chevyheatplate.com/index.html
thats what i figured just looking at it but i wanted to make sure. well another questions will 2 1 barel stocks carbs be way to much for a rebuilt 216 ? also sidecover and valve cover interchangeibility? thanks sinner for the fast reply thanks tom
yes, 2 stock carbs will be way too much. it will load up on idle and be too rich in general. have someone rebuild them that can calibrate icle circuits and jetting.. not all sidecovers interchange, but valve covers will
who would sell jets for those carbs to jet them down ? i know they are probably not as popular as 97s or what ever are the parts out there for those carbs?
I ***ume you are talking about the Rochester carbs. if you want to rebuild them, you can do it yourself. there are some tech tips on www.inliners.org for multiple rochesters. - better yet join our inliners club. get the info to join info on the website. another place to try is www.daytonaparts.com
