I had told myself I didn't want anymore in-op cars lining up in my garage waiting for work to be done and money being poured into them. But... if I ever would find a nice '50/'60s 'wingcar' I would make room for it because that's something I always wanted to have. so, whaddayaknow... here's my new project #7 ... Meet my new 1960 'winged' Chrysler cruiser; The engine has a bad case of the stuck-and-worn bearing-blues so I've already pulled the engine and started disassembly.
Hello Slick, Never enough Mopars and bars..... is a good rule to live by. Looks very clean, love the wings>>>! BSB
Sweet! There is always an exception to the rules you set on yourself. I think the forward look finned mopars are an exception to almost any rule. Some of the most beautiful cars ever built in my opinion. It will look very nice in the garage next to that 70 roadrunner. Keep us updated on the progress.
So little time, so many fins, chrome and knobs..if a nice car like that turns up in the Netherlands you have to jump on it right?!
The number of projects is never determined by funds... its determined by the space requirements... Which are VERY flexible LOL!
Well, I kinda 'made it' turn up in the Netherlands I bought it from a fellow in South Carolina and it's been an Alabama car all it's life I'm told. It has a Woody Anderson, Huntsville cardealer-script on the trunk-lid. Seems to be a Ford-dealer these days. Space is flexible, my wallet, strangely enough, is not...
The car apparently belonged to a former military service member, probably stationed at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, judging from the period military base sticker. All of my Dad's cars had those types of stickers when I was a kid, as did a couple of mine. Later the stickers were mounted to the windshield.
mustangsix, That's correct. The decals (front and back) say "Redstone Arsenal" and have a logo too. There seem to be several stacked on top of each other. I assume they've been added every year orso.
