Will one shot hold up to gas with out clearing over it?

Beneath my gas fill on the back of my car I want pinstriped but ocassionally if not paying real close attention the gas will back up out of the fill neck while filling and run down the back.

Here is the car and area in question. You can see a little bit of a stain down the back in this shot.

I Have Never Used Gas On One Shot But I Would Think If Mineral Spirits Would Cut The Stuff Then Gas Would Also...

Not sure about the gasoline, but I know for a fact that hog urine will soften and lift one-shot. Please don't ask how I know this tidbit. Stu

After a couple days of setting, you can wipe over one shot with mineral spirits. But I've never gotten gas on em... stripe something let it set and them get some gas on it.... probably wouldn't be a problem if you wiped it down rather quickly... or keep a rag handy!

I did a tank for someone and the stripes stayed. It ate the paint from underneath the stripes.

If it's good and cured it can handle the occasional splash...

Make sure it's catalyzed with hardener. Then it won't go anywhere. Stripe fast!! :D

It should hold up fine. I know that once the one shot fully dries 48-72 hours that stuff is pretty bullet proof, even without hardener. I'd go for it.

Safariknut suggests don't wipe the gas off,pat dry instead.
    Less likely to smear anything.

    Hey,

This is gonna have alot to do with where you're buying your fuel.
Out here in SoCal, we have Alcohol in our fuel, pretty much 12 months a year ,thanks....Tree Huggers! With the new no-lead
One-Shot formulations, I'm not lookin to get the colour hold up
we've come to expect from this product.
DO NOT SHOOT CLEAR OVER ONE-SHOT WITHOUT A HARDNER!
Expect white and pastel colours to discolour , over time, if fuel
    splashed.
