I know I'll have to special order some custom offset rims for the front of my 52 chevy, or buy narrow control arms, but is there something that will temporarily work until I have the cash for new ones? Something I can grab off a car at the junkyard. (Camaro clip, car is bagged so I can drive with car raised up a little so tires wont rub while turning) Looking for a 15" rim, 15x5 or 15x6. Any info would be appreciated... Thanks.

I'd be worried about the rim rubbing on the tie rod end, but you could check some early 90's GM pickups, 80's S-10 4x4, 80's FWD Eldorado/Riviera...not sure if they're 4-3/4" bolt circle though.

    I'd try some S-10 wheels.

do the s-10 rims have to be 4x4 rims? also were they 15's on s-10's or 14"s?

15's Don't use the 4x's. I don't think they will do what you want. Wheelsmith in Santa Ana has whatever you need. Pretty cheap too.

If you can get your car there, they will fit different wheels on your car til they find something that works.

S10 4x4, or 79 to 85 Toro or Rivi, will move the tires in 2" per side, and clear the tie rod end. they are actully the same wheel except for the color.

The 4 wheel drive rims have a way different offset. This was to help clear all the 4X4 driveline and suspension stuff. GM made the rear ends wider ... on the 4x4 models so only 1 spare was needed.

See the difference in the offset ?? :)

My buddy Christian (HRH) used late 80's early 90's S10 4X4 spare tire rims on his 54 with a Malibu front end. He had to trim the upper A arms a bit but he was able to run hubcaps. I dont think he had a problem with the tie rods, but I cant remember. You might pm him to find out.

You can run the 4X wheels, but your gonna really be limited to what caps will fit. I think I would look into shorter A-arms.

You might check space saver spare rims. Seems to me that they're very skinny, with most of the rim offset to the outside, and they're cheap at junkyards.
