Need some help here guys. Are Model T roadster and touring doors (26-27) the same? I don't think so but I don't know for sure. Figured I'd ask.
Touring fronts and roadsters are supposedly the same although I've never had doors off one to try on the other. Charlie
YES...But there really are 1926 doors and 1927 doors. Touring fronts and roadster doors will swap body to body. The easy way to tell the years apart is the side curtain tole on top, '26 is just a holes, '27 has a raised ridge around it. The holes in the inner panel are also small on a '26 and a bit larger on a '27. There are slight differances with the tops of the doors were they meet the cowl. Some one will post photos I'm sure.
This guys has one of each... may be able to get a pic from him? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=180416
And late model 27 doors have a different inside latch ***embly, more like"A" open car latches. The late doors fit right on my 26 modified however. later, glider.
