I'd go to work on that front bumper's bracket with my 18" Crescent wrench to get the tweek out of it, put some air in that right front tire and drive the tread off it. Then I'd put some WWW's on it with the stock caps or skinny whites with Chrome reverse wheels and chrome acorn lug nuts, shave the names off and paint it in a Mustang production type Candy Red and Pearl White in the same two tone it's got now. Looks like it's already been lowered some but another inch would help. Those cars looked spaceship custom from the factory.
Hey Respect how have you been? DrJ that is how it looked when it rolled into the driveway, I forgot to mention it has skirts!!!!
this but with a car not a ranchero!!! http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_...custom_cars/george_mitobrs_1957/p9100052.html
Good moved away from frestucky to valley springs up in the foot hills east of stockton still cant get any of my cars done the model a frame is hanging from my rafters and the body is under my 28 dodge body, I'm currently knee deep in restoring a 55 t bird after that i have 56 bird to do as well
that rancheros the inspiration behind my '63 ranchero except silver and blue panel paint job. not a copy just an influence
One of my favorite cars.. a subtle lowering would do it justice. If you want to off the stock hubcaps, let me know. I need some for my 58 wagon.
I agree with most of the above. Lower it, wide whites, louvers, (if you haven't already) something shiny for rims;...maybe chrome reverses with stock Ford "dog dish" center caps. I wouldn't touch that side trim either. It gives it a unique look. There are very few out there with that style of side trim. Some subtle pinstriping would be a nice touch. Good luck! It's a nice ride!
i'd lose the white hood scoop and drive the **** out of it!! nice ride man, lower is always better!! mike
red and white two tone, lowered rolling on astro supremes and skinny whitewalls dual gl*** packs and full tail pipes.then drive!(dont forget the dark sun gl***es , roll down all those windows ,sit low and hang your arm out )....LOW RIDING LATE 60 'S STYLE
Funny you should ask this, my dayghters borfriend dropped off 50 old car mags and in the Nov. 59 issue of car spped and style is a 58 fairlane 500 that they lowered, used 57 buick grill and 58 lincoln taillights, hung skirts and lake pipes and removed the gold trim from the sides. They topped it off with chrome r everse and baby moons and two inch whitewalls and it is tastee!
That looks realy good, but the wheels should be bigger with that big body in my opinion, i would go with 15" wheels!
