SUHRsc, look just a little to the right at the cover roadster on the July/August issue. '22 Dodge with Barris bodywork, absolutely bitchin', never saw the car again after that magazine. I wonder where izzit?
I think big guys can fit....gotta do a bit more work though. If ya use the bottom of the rails as the bottom of the floor (like Metalshape's roadster), you can gain quite a bit more room.

This thread has really got my attention! I have been building a 27 on 32 rails with a 32 grill RPU. I am putting an 8ba in it, picked up a model A bed at the Roundup this year! As soon as I get time I will go to the shop and shoot-post some picts.
The gentleman that built my roadster advises me that he not only shortened the grille for esthetics, but narrowed it a little bit also. I'm in awe of his work, for I cannot tell the difference by looking. dj
