i am setting up the rear end in my 57 chevy,i installed a auburn limited slip,i have the shim under my pinion bearing that came off from under my old bearing to start as a reference.my pattern shows its hitting high on the ring gear mostly on the outter side of the ring gear.my question is do i reduce the shim and pull the pinion in or add a shim and push it closer to the ring gear thanks.. i am adding and deleting shims in 10 thousands secrements.

Are you usin' the same gears or new ones? Yukon gears(Randy's ring and pinion)Has good pics and info in their installation manual. It may be availible online. Its hard to describe and understand the pattern in text. Good luck,Smokey
