Has anyone used these kits? I just got a Maxi cooler II and I think half the parts are missing, no directions, etc. I called and they are sending directions, but I keep finding stuff missing. Of course this has never happened in the history of Southern Rods, according to the guy on the phone.

    Any input appriceated, Don

Isn't Southern Rods the place that has spent years building a bad reputation and living on "fresh meat"?

You know Shane T. works there and is a HAMB'er to boot. Seriously though why not let us see what's going on before slamming us on the board. What kind of " stuff " do you think is missing. You should have the following parts:
An evaporator case with 2 diffirent size duct hose, two defrost vents, 3 ac vents, and a sealed bag with the controls and wiring.
A water valve either vacuum or electric controlled depending on which unit you bought.
A hose and drier kit with fittings, service ports, o rings and 3 diffirent sizes of barrier hose.
    A compressor.
    A compressor bracket.
A condensor with brackets and harlines.
A few grommets, a drier, a drier brackets and a few tiny pieces I probalby forgot. As far as instructions we have most instructions available thru our website, and if they are left out we will re mail them.
Again what specificaly are you missing and I will take care of it, but I seriously doubt 1/2 of the whole kit is gone.

P.S. Did you tell them you were a HAMB guy when you ordered? They usualy transfer all guys from the board to me to make double sure they get the right stuff.

p.s. Don with whom did you speak at the shop. Just want to do some follow up in the morning with whomever it was. Thanks

P.s.s Feel free to call me in the morning to go over your kit. Didn't mean to come off pissy but working somewhere it's hard to see it dogged out without all the pertenent info.
Again I will help ANY WAY I can.

Way to step up to the plate Shane, it is refreshing to see someone take care of business. Everyone needs to realize that businesses are made up of people and sometimes people make mistakes. Before you start bashing someone let them have a chance to sort it out. It is amazing how much can be accomplished with "I am sorry you are having trouble, how can I help?". I hope everyone else reading this will remember to say they are a HAMBer and ask for Shane when the call Southern Rods.
