[IMG]I'm turning this Boyd wheeled '37 into something more traditional for a customer, however, I need to show him what I'm talking about.
We are redoing the suspension, going with AirRide, Tri-4 link,etc.. and the 17"/18" wheel combo are gettin thrown out the window.
I imagined steel wheels, caps and trim rings, black-walls, and black painted wheels to match or ? Some off colors look good too. The upholstery is grey...tweed of all things, and has a grocery list of problems from previous builders, yep, gotta fix that too.

So,if guys can give her a lower stance, slightly raked with some steelie's that would be alot of help, Thanks boys....
    Max.

Tommy!!!! Whatup Dawg, your right, Ryan's '38 is tasteful. I found one picture of it with the black walls, looks *****in. Ryan, your car Rules.
Now, I appriciate the sleds boys, but our boy is into hotrods, he ain't gonna want to chop it(even though, thats the first thing a Hotrodder would do), cowboy rake it, or skirt it. I would but...you know where I'm going. Its black, on black, on black, but still think the rings will break up the wheel a bit more. Anything is better than a friggin Boyd wheel.

Here's my take on it, severe chop, and drop. I should sleep more. Got all crazy before I read the last post. I chopped it anyway...and butcherd the background.[IMG]

I recently changed the red wheels and grille to black. Although I have been planning to drop the rear some with a single leaf. Please Dont chop it. The roofline cant be improved.

I like the slammed one with blackwalls. If it sat at a more realistic height, it would look very Moonshiner.

I did one. Looks like I used the same car your "cut and paste" guy did.

I think you should go for Atillery wheels black with whitewall, looks like Janne did that, minus the whitewall. I couldn't find and good pics of any with out looking to hard so I stuck with the black steelies with blackwalls. Sounds like blackwalls is what the cutomer wants anyway. I think this option wouldn't cost your customer to much. Remove the side engine panels and get those header pipes out and of course drop it down.

Nice job, she looks ready to pounce. But I think Richie will think I'm copying him, but he does have one of the baddest '36's ever. Again, thanks to all that contributed there thoughts and ideas to my post, Were on the right track and going to start cutting this baby up, only this time it will get put back together...correctly!
