I'm thinking German, but I could be mistaken. Mercedes is ringing a bell for some reason.

Looks like a conventional valve train, not OHC... not Mercedes...I'm stumped. Cute, though.

  9. looks like an european model- like something in a sports car- Ive seen one similar in a small haulage truck as well. Also If ya going to put your cylinders that close together why wounldn't you just make it a straight eight?- those intake ducts must be a barstard!

The coolest one of them all was this one ( pics).

Found in a junkyard by John Willment
http://www.willmentcars.com/ ( look in the link for the Cobra, the Galaxie, etc...)

He had his team put the body on a lengthened Cobra Ch***is.
( to me, this is also one of the coolest Cobra Coupe's... )

We have a winner -- Metalshapes, I knew you were a man of the world. It's a Fiat 8V, short-run 2-liter engine built in the early-mid '50s. This one is in a Siata 208S Spider.

    Nope...

Hint... Take a good look at the number of bolts holding down the Valve Cover.
    ( Its not a SBC either )

    I can't name the first two. I think Lotek_Racing's is a BRM H-16.

    Same here...

And I'm guessing ( looking at the rear suspension )the H16 is in the back of a BRM, not the Lotus 43 that also used that Engine...

    This a Simca motor......

I knew the engine was one-0-R'ns

    Siata/Fiats used different id#s

They are really two 4's stuck together in many ways. AND very easy to beat

kid old enough to run :D
