OT: attention old hot rod movie fans

If you have a Big Lots store near you, check out their DVDs, I just bought a 4 dvd set called Burnt Rubber with 20 old car related movies for $6! I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but it oughta be some cheap entertainment. Just thought some of you might be interested.

Finally, my copy of "Burnt Rubber", a 4 DVD pack, showed up from Deep Discount.com. Well worth the $8.16, and the wait.
Mostly very old movies, including The Devil on Wheels, Hot Rod Girl and 18 more.

Mine arrived the other day. I've watched "The Choppers" (one of my favorite movies) "Hot Rod Girl" and "Double Nickle" so far.

 

luv the cars in hot rod girl, and I believe that's the Tommy Ivo T in The Choppers. Last night I watched The wild ride, Jack Nickelson's been "milking" the same basic character for a lot of years hasn't he?

 

i got mine last weekend. i have been wanting to see the choppers again for a long time. it alone is worth the $6. thanks for putting this thread up. i wouldn`t have ever looked there.

 

Just order one and for the fun of it I put my Canada address and it wanted 6.72 to ship to Canada thats more than the movie. I shipped to my Aunts with free shipping.

 

Just watched "The Blond Comet" last night. The movie was hockey (as most of them are) but Barney Oldfield was in it, that was pretty cool, and it even showed some footage of him racing. BTW, he was a much better driver than he was an actor.

 

I went to FIVE Big Lots looking for this, I guess its not available in So. California.

can't beat Arch Hall, Jr. singing "Monkeys in my hat band" and his pops playing that ornery old junkyard guy who wants nothing more than to shoot everyone up...god I love that movie, too bad I've already got copies of Hot Rod Girl and The Choppers...any of you folks ever watched The Beatniks? Not a car movie, but still a good B flick...
