Getting ready to put my windows back in my freshly paint 1950 Ford. The question that i need help with is when ordering rubbers for the window, they want to now if i need one groove for chrome or two. How do I know if i am getting the right window rubber. I do not have the old rubber to go by, any help would be great.

You need to sign up on the shoebox ford web site and talk to Ray. I just went thought the same thing you're going through and he helped me a lot. The new rubber doesn't fit for beans. Ray and Chris saved my *** for sure.

***uming that you are talking about the windshield. If you have stainless trim that goes all around, you need the rubber with groove to hold trim. If no trim, rubber has no groove.:) :D

    Hey,

When ya do get the correct gaskets, soak 'um in hot, hot water
just prior to the installation. Dish soap, squirted around the pinch
weld flange and gasket, and a length of cord inside the gasket,
will pull the gasket over the opening. Get a buddy ta help catch
the gl*** in the event it hopps outa the gasket.
