Cuzzin Deke's 31 coupe is in the build up stage. Body just got patch panels, new wood, Bitchin firewall, and check out the steel roof insert from Howell's Sheet Metal in Nederland, Tx. This $200 piece of curved steel fit nice considering this is a rough body. Our pals at Howell's were not fast but we are happy with the panel. Here are some photos.

I thought the roof insert was cheaper than $300? Do you have any details on the build? Pics?

You are right. I looked it up and we paid $200 for the roof insert on Ebay. Deke built his own frame and it is close to being a roller. Might have more photos soon.

I wish I was at that stage. I have to get some thing started on the rubber side before I can even think about a roof. Keep us posted with pics. The body looks good.

    Dang,
I noticed you were from Kansas I hope you start a trend in Texas.
What's so wrong about a filled roof?
Looks good, and thanks for the info on where you got it.
More Texas cars need filled roofs.
