DB treated me like a rock star too. I ordered a set of WIDE white wall radials from them a couple years ago. The ones I received had white walls on them that were not nearly as large as they were supposed to be. They sent me a new set and happily accepted the old set. The tires look great on my '39 Deluxe sedan and they give that modern radial ride. In some ways you really can't compare DB and Coker. Coker does not specialize in vulcanizing wide white walls onto modern radial tires manufactured by leading, well-known tire manufacturers. DB does.

Some ******** cleaners and very abrasive pads MIGHT take it off but there is no need to use either one of those things on our tires. Soap and water or a fine grit sanding sponge with a mild cleaner is all you need to keep the white "white". As for the small area of dye, there should be no need to scrub that area either.

I've put in a request to become an alliance vendor but we still haven't been accepted as one. Plenty of people have backed our product on this site. I've even helped on several off topic issues. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe someone can answer that question for me.

See what I mean. Thanks Deluxe.

  5. Coker doesn't have the sizes I want, but diamondback does. It would be cool if they were an alliance vendor.

Thanks for responding. It's dialog like this that can help us make a better, more informed decision. Again, as I see it, I made a good choice when purchasing Diamondback Tires. Stu

You definitely made the right choice. We take a lot of pride in our process and know it is the preferred method to create a beautiful whitewall tire.

Definetly the way to go. I just put a set of DB's 13inch www on the old ladys Comet, they look great! I too did have problems like 50Fraud did with the other companys tire. They were replaced but theres nothing worse than needing 2 spare tires while on a trip down interstate 95! DBs ever since w/no problems!

Exactly what is the criteria for becoming an Alliance Vendor?? Is there a fee?? Do the administrators limit the number of Alliance Vendors to perhaps 1 (one) for each segment of the hobby, i.e., since Coker is an Alliance Vendor, no more tire vendors?? I don't know what the advantage to that would be, however, I would think you deserve an explaination. Stu
